Supervision and reliable startup
The month opened with crash-supervised harness hosting and a tmux boot-marker fix. Forgejo authentication then became a reusable environment capability instead of another repository-specific setup step.
Metrics scope: Rig only. 33 main-history commits; net endpoint diff across 513 paths, including code, tests, documentation and decomposition. The +118,465 / −53,532 figures are code churn, not user value or effort. Local uncommitted files were excluded.
The month opened with crash-supervised harness hosting and a tmux boot-marker fix. Forgejo authentication then became a reusable environment capability instead of another repository-specific setup step.
Alerts were routed into live agent sessions, with an exclusive subscriber/handler model. Signal containment and process-target guards addressed the risk of one agent interfering with unrelated work. Linux scheduling and CI companion drift checks followed.
A common removal verdict became the basis for safe worktree removal, garbage collection and overwrite checks. Follow-ups recognized preserved remote commits and batch-squash evidence, reducing both unsafe deletion and false blocking.
Complexity checks expanded into the universal lint aggregate. Release-boundary fixes closed concrete regressions. The final October merge exposed stop-hook wiring per harness; its source declares version 0.74.0.
This is the implemented Rig lint contract, not a claim that the wider AxE execution loop is complete. Hover a node for its pinned source link.
Committed local HEAD and the live remote main reference both resolve to b315e341, dated October 30. Its project metadata declares 0.74.0. The prior September endpoint is 8a6c452d at September 30, 23:40:43 UTC.
Product tests were not rerun to prepare this report. The repository and merge evidence establish implemented changes, not a fresh exact-endpoint test pass or installed-package verification.
Forgejo confirms #807 merged. Its description records review fixes for wrappers, invalid Codex TOML, configuration scope and descriptor validity, with #806 still listed as follow-up. The CLI status reader failed while formatting its output, so no fresh CI verdict is asserted.
No verified month-end evidence closes the whole request → plan → isolated execution → review → human decision loop. Neither merged tooling nor repository badges establish installation on every machine, restart recovery or completed user acceptance.
| Area | October result | Evidence boundary |
|---|---|---|
| AxE and CoWShed | The inspected CoWShed commit adds execution admission checks and a regression test. | The cited code was inspected. No performance benchmark or complete cross-project integration result is asserted. CoWShed commit |
| tg-cli | October changes covered caller authentication, identified calls, report attachments, session controls and owner-only approval menus. | Repository-history evidence supports these changes. Installation and the complete remote messaging flow were not reverified for this report. Repository · #826 |
| review-cli | The shared review gate, remote reviews and calibrated automatic level/model/effort selection advanced. | Visible main history supports the implementation; exact job logs and machine installation were not reverified for this report. Older acceptance items #701/#708 are not assumed closed by later work. Repository |
| task-cli | Fresh-read confirmation and canonical production-origin checks made merged versus deployed a tool-level distinction. | Committed history shows the safeguards. It does not establish that any particular product was deployed or accepted. #309 · #308 |
The cards summarize a multi-repository collaboration. The measured file and line totals above apply only to Rig. These selected source anchors explain the key contracts; they are not an inventory of all 513 changed files.
| Contract | Source at the October endpoint | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Tool selection | docs/lint.md · lines 10–30 | Configured tools stay authoritative; complementary checks run separately. |
| Result and coverage | docs/lint.md · lines 32–89 | Findings, failures to analyze and deliberately narrowed scope remain distinguishable. |
| No silent write during checking | docs/lint.md · lines 96–102 | Non-fix checks compare status and content digests; unexpected writes fail visibly. |
| Stop-hook wiring | docs/config-schema.md · lines 418–444 | Expected descriptors, bridge carriers and firing evidence are documented per harness. |
| Diagnostic result | riglib/cli_doctor_stop_hooks.py · lines 32–67 | Detected gaps feed the doctor result and status summary rather than staying hidden. |
Alex authored all 33 commits in the measured Rig main-history interval and drove the lint, worktree, session and diagnostic changes. This commit attribution is not a claim of sole authorship of every dependency or collaborative design. The related CoWShed change is cited separately; this report does not infer individual ownership from private project updates.
The recurring lesson is practical: configuration is not proof of execution. A configured hook still needs a functioning bridge. An empty findings list still needs verified coverage. A merged toolkit still needs an accepted end-to-end flow.
A related October 1 CI diagnostic fix preserved lockfile-diff output until it was written. Its local report was explicitly partial—19 pass and one environment-dependent failure—not a claim of complete integration success. smoothbricks/codebase #37
These are priorities inferred from the remaining evidence gaps, not new delivery promises.
Selected timeline: 12 of the 33 Rig main-history commits, chosen to show the month’s main transitions.
The decision records below summarize the committed lint contract; their options and rationale are editorial synthesis, not newly ratified project ADRs. Source: docs/lint.md · lines 17–89
Rig counts were calculated from committed Git objects between September 30, 23:40:43 UTC and the October 30 endpoint, then checked against the current remote main reference on November 1. All 33 counted commits have October committer dates. The source snapshot is therefore complete for Rig main, not for every open branch or every ecosystem repository.
Related-tool implementation history provides the surrounding context. Repository evidence links may require project access. Fresh product tests, fresh benchmark runs, package-install verification and an end-to-end AxE pilot were not performed for this report. No product screenshots or exact-head test results are implied by the report’s own rendering checks.
Private correspondence, credentials and internal security details are excluded. Publishing this report does not deploy or accept the reported products.
